subject to the old policy prior to the changes provided you notify us within the one month notice period.
THE DATA WE COLLECT
All the data we collect is required in order to make CovertCandyTM an effective
platform through which you can buy and sell goods. When you open an account with CovertCandy
TM you will be asked for required information such as your address, name,
password and username as well as other optional information. This
information is needed in order for the CovertCandyTM transaction process to function effectively and to
ensure that we have the information at hand to provide informed customer service.
The only point at which CovertCandyTM make your personal information available
to another user is when you request an item and that request is approved. At this point your name,
address and private email are sent to the seller so that the item can be posted and better lines of
communication can be achieved. We remind users to always keep their profile details up to date and to
always confirm with the buyer what their current address is. You are solely responsible for sending the
item you're selling to the correct address.
The search facility on the 'view mates' page does enable users to search for you using your real name. The purpose of this is so
that people who know you outside of CovertCandyTM can find your username
within the site and look at your items.
Another way we may acquire personal information about you is when we are trying to resolve postage
problems. During this process we communicate with other users who may tell us personal information. We
use this information to try and be fair to users during the rare situation when a user doesn't receive
the item they've purchased.
CovertCandyTM also stores IP addresses, browser information and access times
which are used to gain a better insight into the way you as a user navigate the site and to allow us to
tailor the CovertCandyTM to your needs.
HOW YOUR DATA IS USED
We use your personal data to provide a safe Website which performs its functions effectively and caters
for the changing demands of our users. We only use your information for reasons of which you have given
us your full consent to do so and we will not share your personal data with third parties. Your

the effective exchange of clothing products, through providing buyers with contact and postage

access to pages within your account and to prevent the misuse of the free service that CovertCandyTM provides.

user. CovertCandyTM only uses session cookies that are deleted from your
computer when you leave the CovertCandyTM website. Some cookies do stay on the
hard drive so that your computer may be recognisable when you return to the site. Deactivating cookies
is not recommended on the CovertCandyTM website as certain functions can only
be used when cookies are enabled.
SECURITY
To keep your personal information secure we will use password protection, data encryption and frequently
check for viruses. Because no data within the internet can be totally protected we cannot ensure or

This policy refers to the CovertCandyTM website only. As we have no control
over the way in which websites that we provide links to use the personal data you disclose to them, we
cannot be held responsible for their use of your personal data. Please note that the privacy policies of

legally. We may also disclose your data in the event we sell our business - if we do that, they terms
